The site uses a single cookie, NEXT_LOCALE. It is saved when you choose a language from the language menu and holds only that choice, for example “de”. It reopens the site in that language when you come back to the main address, and it expires after 200 days. When you switch language, the site also saves where you were on the page in your browser’s session storage (sessionStorage), so the new page opens at the same spot; it deletes it as soon as the new page has loaded and never sends it anywhere.

It is a technical cookie: it does not identify you and is not used for statistics or advertising, so we do not ask for your consent. You can delete it in your browser settings; without it, the site picks the language from your browser settings.

To know how many people visit the site and how fast it loads, we use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights. They use no cookies and store nothing on your device.

For each page view they record the page address, the site you came from, country and city, browser, operating system and device type; Speed Insights also records loading times. For the statistics, your IP address is not kept: to tell visits apart, Vercel derives a code (a hash) from the request and deletes it after 24 hours.

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., which also provides the statistics described above and handles the data on our behalf, as a data processor. To serve the pages, Vercel receives technical data with every request, such as your IP address, and records it in its logs.

The site has no forms and stores nothing you write. The buttons to contact us open your email program with a message already written, and you decide whether to send it. If you do, your email reaches our mailbox, provided by Register.it, and we use it to reply to you.

In the reviews section we show some reviews that guests wrote on Airbnb, on Booking.com or directly for us: the guest’s name, the month and the text. We publish them only with the permission of the people who wrote them. If one is yours and you want it removed, write to us.

Some photos on the site show people. If you appear in a photo and want it removed, write to us.

Links to Airbnb, Booking.com, Instagram, Facebook and other sites take you away from this site: there, the privacy rules of whoever runs them apply.

You can ask us at any time to see the data we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to restrict its use, to receive the data you gave us in a common, machine-readable format (portability), or to object to its processing, and you can withdraw any permission you have given us. Just write to info@casaaroma.eu.

If you think your data is not being handled properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, the Italian data protection authority.
